Jay Patel holds a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry, an MS in Analytical Chemistry, and a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy. His post‑doctoral work at UTMB focused on epigenetic regulation, including the synthesis and analysis of isotope‑enriched oligonucleotides. With more than a decade of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, he has developed deep expertise in analytical and microbiological testing, research and development, and quality control operations. Jay currently serves as the Vice President of Analytical Sciences at Eagle Analytical, where he oversees a diverse team of scientists and technicians. In this role, he leads the planning and execution of complex, time‑sensitive projects; ensures compliance with cGMP and cGLP standards; and collaborates across internal groups and external partners to deliver critical analytical outcomes. Before joining Eagle Analytical, Jay held leadership roles within the CDMO sector, directing multiple drug‑development initiatives in partnership with Analytical and Formulation Development, GMP Manufacturing, QC/QA, Supply Chain, and Business Development teams.
