Dr. Kathleen Kane is an Assistant Director of Pharmacy at the University of Chicago, specializing in compounding integrity, regulatory compliance, and cleanroom design. She has spent nineteen years in compounding across community, institutional, and industry settings, including managing sterile and non‑sterile operations prior to earning her PharmD from Chicago State University. Dr. Kane has supported Phase 1 and Phase 2 clinical trial manufacturing, developed nationally recognized compounding training programs, and leads organizational compliance with evolving USP and cGMP standards. She is board‑certified in sterile compounding and serves on the BPS Compounded Sterile Preparations Specialty Council, where she will vice-chair the 2026 term. Dr. Kane also contributes nationally through volunteer committee and consulting work with APC, ISPE, ICHP, ASHP, and USP.
