Day Eight Giveaway

Eligibility. YOU HAVE NOT YET WON. 12 Days of Connect: Day Eight Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) sponsored by Informa Canada, Inc. (“Informa”) is open to entrants 18 years of age or older who are legal residents of the United States or Canada (except residents from Quebec) who enter via any entry method below. An invitation to enter the Giveaway does not indicate automatic qualification. Employees of Informa, its agents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and parent companies, sales representatives, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies and members of the immediate families or households of each are not eligible. This Giveaway is not sponsored or endorsed by Meta, Instagram, or LinkedIn.

How to Enter. The entry period begins at or around 9:00 AM EST on or about December 13, 2024 and ends at or around 9:00 AM EST on or about December 17, 2024 (“Entry Period”). There are two ways to enter during the Entry Period. Entry Method One: Follow the official social media accounts of (i) Informa Connect on LinkedIn and Instagram, and (ii) IDS (Interior Design Show) on LinkedIn and IDS Toronto on Instagram. Go to the post regarding the Day Eight Giveaway, and tag a friend you’d like to bring with you to IDS Toronto, taking place from January 23-26, 2025 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre North Building (the “Show”). Each unique user tagged constitutes one (1) entry into the Giveaway. Entry Method Two: Email connectcommunications@informa.com with 12 Days of Connect: Day Eight Giveaway in the subject line, including your first and last name, email address, and phone number, and certify you are 18 years of age or older and a resident of the United States or Canada (except residents from Quebec). There is no limit on number of entries. All entries must be received by 9:00 AM EST on December 17, 2024. No mechanically reproduced entries or facsimiles allowed. Only unique, individual accounts belonging to individual users may be tagged under the post. Informa is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible, misdirected or other indecipherable or unreadable entries. In the event of a dispute about entries submitted by multiple individuals using the same account, entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized owner of the account. The account owner is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned an account name by the social media platform organization that is responsible for assigning account handles for the submitted account. The use of any robotic, repetitive, automatic, programmed or similar entry methods or agents (including, but not limited to sweepstakes entry services) are prohibited and will void all entries by that entrant. Entrants assume all risk of lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, or illegible entries. Proof of entry submission will not be deemed proof of receipt by Informa. All entries and information contained therein become the property of Informa and will not be returned.

Prizes. Informa will conduct one drawing with one prize, one winner. The winner will be awarded two (2) tickets to attend the IDS Toronto Show, approximate retail value (“ARV”) of $550 CAD. TRAVEL AND ACCOMODATION FOR THE SHOW IS NOT INCLUDED. No prize transfers, cash redemption, or substitutions except as provided for herein. The prize will be delivered to the winner by email. If, for whatever reason, the Show is cancelled or postponed or the prize cannot be provided in case of unavailability or for whatever reason, Informa reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. Prize delivery is subject to product and Informa availability.

Selection of Winners. On or about January 10th, 2025, one winner will be selected in one random drawing from among all eligible entries received by the end of the Entry Period. The selection of the winner will be conducted by Informa or its designee, whose decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to the Giveaway. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. The winner will be notified on the social media platform of entry, or by telephone/email no later than January 10th, 2025 at 5pm EST. To claim the prize, winner must reply to the direct message sent by Informa on the social media platform of entry, or the email sent by Informa, by 5pm EST on January 17th, 2025. If the winner fails to claim their prize in the manner described herein, their prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected from the pool of qualified entrants. If a winner is a resident of Canada, they will also be required to answer a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question administered via the telephone. Failure to answer the question correctly within the time period specified, as determined by Informa in its sole discretion, will result in disqualification and, at Informa’s sole discretion, the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner for the drawing at issue. Informa and its agents are not responsible for (i) any typographical or other error in the printing, offering, or announcement of the prize, (ii) lost, late, or invalid entries, (iii) electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or delay in operations, (iv) transmission, theft, destruction, or unauthorized access to or alterations of entries, (v) technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer hardware or software malfunctions, (vi) limitations of any kind or inaccurate transmissions, or (vii) failure to receive entry or other Giveaway related information by entrants due to technical problems. The winner may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release, show proof of valid identification, and provide any relevant tax forms no later than January 17th, 2025 or prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in forfeiture of prize.

By entering, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by the Official Rules and decisions of the judges, and consent to the use of their name, photographs and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes, worldwide, in perpetuity, in connection with this Giveaway, by Informa and its affiliates, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. Winners will be responsible for all applicable taxes on their prizes. The winner and their guest must comply with (i) all website terms of use for Instagram and LinkedIn, if applicable, and (ii) all prize component venue rules and regulations, including the Informa Connect Event Code of Conduct. Subject to all local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted. Giveaway and all related published ads, promotional materials, online and printed entry forms are the property of Informa.

Release of liability. All entrants and winners, on behalf of themselves and any potential guests attending the Show, agree to hold harmless and release Informa and its agents, parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, contractors, employees, and all others associated with the development and execution of this Giveaway (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all existing or future, alleged or actual, claims, actions, losses, damages, and liabilities with respect to or in any way arising from this Giveaway, participation in any Giveaway-related activity (including attending the Show), or awarding, delivery, miss-delivery, acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, including, but not limited to, liability for personal injury, bodily injury (including wrongful death or disability), damage to property, and damage or loss of any other kind. Entrants acknowledge Released Parties are not liable or are in any way responsible for purchases or subsequent usage of the prize. Released Parties are not liable or responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users, by any of the equipment or programming associated with or used in the Giveaway, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the Giveaway. Released Parties assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications-line failure, or theft of, destruction of, unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. Released Parties are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment or computer software, or for failure of email or entry on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof (including injury or damage to any entrant’s or to any person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in the Giveaway or downloading or uploading materials from/to the websites). Released Parties are not responsible for user cheating or fraud by any entrants. Any activities intended to disrupt or interfere with the proper play or conduct of the Giveaway or to defraud Released Parties in any way will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Participants who engage in any of the foregoing activities will be disqualified and will forfeit any prize won. If the Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, hacking, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Released Parties which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Giveaway, Informa reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Giveaway and award the prize from among all entries received via the offline methods of entry and/or all online entries received prior to the time of termination.

By entering, entrants agree that any personal information provided may be held and used only by Informa or its agents and suppliers to administer the Giveaway. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited. If it is determined that an entrant is using the Giveaway for gambling purposes, they will be disqualified from participating in the Giveaway and reported to authorities.
