Sayra Tekin is Director of Legal, Policy and Regulatory Affairs and General Counsel at the News Media Association, which represents national, regional and local news publishers across the UK.She leads the NMA’s legal, regulatory and public policy work, including on digital markets, online regulation, data protection, AI and copyright, and consumer regulation. She has worked extensively on major legislation affecting the news media and the digital economy, engaging with Government, Parliament and regulators.Sayra is a solicitor advocate with Higher Rights of Audience. She previously worked at the BBC and trained at Slaughter and May.
