Profile
Anna works at DWS since 2022 as a Finance Manager Sustainability within the CFO Division, where she is currently co-leading the implementation of CSRD.
In 2021, she joined the Secretariat for the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety at the European Parliament (ENVI). Prior to her role at DWS, Anna also worked for the government of Malta where she was responsible for strategic policy development and coordination related to biodiversity and green infrastructure. She was appointed as a national expert to various international negotiations of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the UN Convention on Migratory Species (CMS) as well as at the EU Working Party Meetings on International Environmental Issues on Biodiversity at the Council of the European Union.
Anna has an MSc in Environmental Management and Sustainability Science from Aalborg University, Denmark and a BSc in Environmental Economics from the University of National and World Economy, Bulgaria. She has extensive experience working on sustainability topics with international organisations, national governments, companies and academia in Bulgaria, Denmark, Netherlands, Malta, Belgium and Germany.
