As the Head, Global Sustainability Engagement and Disclosures, Chelsea Wallace leads on Standard Chartered’s engagement with the NGO community and various sustainability focused industry organisations. Her team is also responsible for the Group’s regulatory and voluntary disclosures on sustainability. She was previously the Global Head of Reputational and Sustainability Risk where she oversaw the Group-wide strategy for and implementation of Reputational and ESG risk management. Leveraging her background in data analytics and decision modelling, she led efforts to integrate ESG and greenwashing risk considerations into the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management framework and into the heart of decision-making. At Standard Chartered, Chelsea has over 10 years of experience across Legal, Compliance and Risk and has built the Group’s reputational and sustainability risk capabilities from the ground up.

Chelsea started her career in Washington D.C. working for the FBI applying data analytics, decision modelling and risk management methods to criminal investigative programs across the organisation and moved to SCB in 2015. She has a B.A. in Political Science and Russian Languages and Literatures from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
