Giulia Scanferla

Head of Sustainability Reporting at BAT

Giulia leads the Group Sustainability Reporting team at British American Tobacco (BAT) in London. Her team is responsible for the overall sustainability reporting strategy – including double materiality assessments, climate and nature reporting, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) preparation and ESG ratings.

Before joining BAT in 2022, Giulia was a Sustainability Reporting and Communications Manager at Bupa where she specialised in ESG risk, climate reporting and corporate sustainability communications. Prior to Bupa, Giulia worked at Walgreens Boots Alliance as Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator where she gained valuable experience in sustainability policy and reporting, including materiality assessments, GRI, SASB and CDP indexes.

Giulia graduated in Economic Development Policies from the Ca’Foscari University of Venice with a Master’s Degree and holds professional certifications from the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership, including Business & Climate Change: Towards Net Zero Emissions and Sustainable Supply Chain Management.
