Giulia Scanferla is the Senior Sustainability Reporting Manager for British American Tobacco.

She joined BAT in October 2022 to lead the delivery of BAT’s Sustainability disclosures within BAT Combined Annual & Sustainability Report.

For the past nine years, Giulia has been driving sustainability strategy, reporting, communications and advocacy in various companies in Europe. Highlights include: Leading Double Materiality Assessments in preparation for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), implementing cross functional working Groups to respond to new industry Frameworks such as the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), producing GRI and SASB aligned sustainability reports and improving various sustainability ratings and indexes (such as EcoVadis, CDP and MSCI).

Giulia holds a master’s degree in International Relations and Economic Development Policies and has completed two courses from the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership: Business & Climate Change: Towards Net Zero Emissions and Sustainable Supply Chain Management.
