Ian Ford is Group Environmental & Sustainability Manager at Chemring Group PLC, where he leads environmental and sustainability activity across an international listed business. He is currently completing an MSc in Organisational Governance and Sustainability at Birkbeck, University of London.

Ian chairs the Group Sustainability Committee and is a key member of the Group ESG Committee, providing environmental and sustainability insight at executive and Board level. He leads the Group’s sustainability reporting and assurance activity, including its response to evolving requirements such as CSRD and UK Sustainability Reporting Standards.

His experience spans regulated operations, environmental management, sustainability reporting and Group-level governance, giving him a practical perspective on translating complex regulatory and reporting requirements into practical business action.
