Charlotte Dewar is the Chief Executive Officer of IPSO, the independent regulator for the newspaper, magazine, and digital news industry in the UK. With over ten years of experience in press regulation, Charlotte sets IPSO’s strategy and oversees its work to monitor and maintain high standards of journalism set by the Editors’ Code; support the public; and uphold freedom of expression.

Previously Director of Operations at IPSO, Charlotte was also the Director of Complaints at IPSO’s precursor, the Press Complaints Commission.
