Robert began his career in multi-family at the age of 12 when he began maintaining, cleaning and preparing apartments for lease for a family friend. He graduated from California State Polytechnic University with a bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance and law in 1984. He was employed at First Interstate Bank as an Auditor until 1985 when he started his career in the real estate investment industry as a broker for Cambio Investments, Inc. He was involved in brokerage activities and won awards for the most successful new agent in 1985 and 1986. Robert joined a startup investment firm, CapitalVest Realty, Inc., in 1986 and was involved in many facets of that company’s growth and development. Those areas of involvement include acquisition structure, asset management, property management, property acquisition and disposition, general brokerage and capital funding for new projects. Robert formed Clippinger Investment Properties, Inc. in 1997 and has owned and operated the company since. His activities include brokerage activities, asset and property management including renovation and lease up management for newly acquired assets, capital formation for new real estate investments and asset management for over 150 investors. In addition, Robert was Chairman of the Board of Directors for Gateway Business Bank where he also served as the Chairman of the Audit Committee. Robert has developed real estate portfolios for clients and partnerships in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Sacramento markets. Robert developed award winning mixed-use property in Sacramento and managed the renovation and sale of luxury condominiums in Downtown Sacramento for record prices. Robert has managed the renovation of historic national monument residential properties in Los Angeles. Robert Clippinger has maintained a commercial brokerage presence in Orange, Los Angeles and Sacramento markets. He is a member of Lambda Alpha International, an honorary society for the advancement of land economics.
Robert’s involvement in non-profit foundations has extended from the formation and operation of the Hope’s House, homes for individuals fleeing abusive relationships and homelessness, Gays With Kids, a national platform that supports the rights and encourages formations of all families with children and a long term relationship with World Vision, a worldwide Christian charity that supports communities, families and children.
Robert’s hobbies include old (he will say classic) cars, gardening, cooking, travel, family, and exercise.
