Sven Bouman is an advisor to Privium. He is currently setting up a regulatory hosting solution for investment managers without a MiFID or AIFMD license, who want to market and distribute their investment vehicles to professional investors in the European Economic Area (EEA). Privium is an independent global group of companies offering regulated fund management services and investment management solutions for traditional and alternative asset classes across different jurisdictions.

Previously, Sven was the CEO of Saemor Capital, which he founded in 2008 with the backing of insurance company Aegon as a cornerstone investor. Saemor managed a European equities market-neutral long-short strategy. The backbone of the investment strategy was a systematic/quantitative approach to investing. The company closed in 2022. At its peak in 2015, Saemor managed more than $700 million.

Prior to setting up Saemor, he was the Head of Equities at Aegon Asset Management. Sven started his career at ING Investment Management. Over the years, he managed several equity funds (Global, Emerging Markets and ESG) and advised on a multi-asset mandate. Sven's research on seasonalities In stock returns has been published in academic journals including The American Economic Review.
