Roman is a former military officer who specialised in strategic counter-terrorism at the UK’s Ministry of Defence. He joined Hosking Partners in 2021 to follow a passion for investment and ESG analysis. Roman is particularly focused on the global energy transition, which he considers one of the most fascinating and complex problems facing investors and governments over the coming decades.

Roman has a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford and holds the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.

In his spare time Roman enjoys skiing, golfing, mountaineering, and drinking the occasional glass of Californian red wine.
