Stacy Ritter is a dynamic and influential leader, currently serving as the President and CEO of Visit Lauderdale, the official destination marketing organization for Greater Fort Lauderdale. With a career marked by dedication to public service and community engagement, she has played a pivotal role in shaping Broward County’s tourism industry. In 2016, Stacy Ritter began her pivotal role at Visit Lauderdale, overseeing a dedicated team of over 50 sales and marketing professionals and managing a substantial operating budget of $27 million. Under her leadership, Visit Lauderdale, focuses on diverse aspects of tourism, from leisure and sports to conventions and international outreach. Her influence extends to multicultural tourism, LGBT+ development as well as international advertising and public relations campaigns. Before leading Visit Lauderdale, Stacy served as an elected Broward County Commissioner and Mayor of the County. She also represented the 96th District in the Florida House of Representatives. Her dedication to public service has earned her numerous accolades including induction into the Broward County Women’s Hall of Fame and recognition as a Power Leader in Hospitality by South Florida Business Journal. Born in Washington, D.C., Ritter moved to Broward County in 1974, earning her law degree from Nova Southeastern College of Law after completing her BA at Rollins College. As a licensed attorney, community leader, and influential businesswoman, Stacy Ritter continues to shape the tourism landscape and make a lasting impact on Greater Fort Lauderdale. She resides in Fort Lauderdale with her husband Russ, their three rescue dogs, and is a proud mother of three and a grandmother to one.
