Catalina Munoz is the Latin America Head of Export & Agency Finance (“EAF”) at Bank of America, where she is responsible for developing strategy and leading the origination, structuring, and execution of new business in the region, by providing financial solutions through Multilaterals, Export Credit Agencies and Development Financial Institutions. She is based in New York.
Catalina has a wealth of experience across the ECA industry, most recently serving as Executive Director EAF at SMBC, where she was responsible the ECA business in the Americas. Prior to her role at SMBC, Catalina worked for Citigroup where she held various positions as a coverage banker and as EAF specialist, including Regional Head of EAF for Central America, Caribbean and Andean, responsible for Citi’s EAF business in 11 countries.
For the past 20+ years Catalina has been involved in numerous cross-border EAF, M&A, Project Finance and Capital Markets transactions. She has also worked for BNP Paribas, ABN AMRO and Banca de Inversion Bancolombia.
Catalina holds a General Management (GMP) degree from Harvard Business School, an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management (Netherlands) and a BS in International Business from EAFIT University (Colombia).
