Based in Miami, Diogo Figueiroa is currently the Americas Head of Global Trade and Supply Chain solutions at Banco Sabadell.

He joined the bank ten years ago to initiate the bank’s trade and supply chain finance line of business in the region. He implemented and promoted all trade-associated products such as export/import finance, receivables and supply chain finance, ECA and trade credit insured backed facilities.

He developed multiple relationships with US and LatAm based corporates, with partnering banks and fin-techs. During this period, his team has structured and participated in facilities exceeding $10bi supporting corporates in over 15 countries across a variety of sectors including transactions backed by over 10 Insurers.

Prior to Sabadell Diogo worked at the international division of Banco Espirito Santo based in Lisbon and headed the Trade and Export finance division at Espirito Santo Bank based in Miami focusing primarily on ECA and trade credit insured facilities to LatAm and Caribbean clients.

Diogo is trilingual, holds a Master’s in Business Administration, a BA degree, a management executive education course at INSEAD and several bank specialty certifications. He is originally from Portugal and has been happily living in Miami for the last 17 years with his wife and 3 children.
