Leonardo Melhem is a Director Global Head of Documentary Trade Structuring within Trade Finance & Lending at Deutsche Bank. In his role, he leads a global sales team of expert product professionals, focusing on structuring value-added trade finance solutions. Leonardo joined Deutsche Bank in 2001 and is currently based in Madrid. He previously worked in New York as Head of Trade Finance Latin America and later Head of Flow Trade Finance North America (Industrials, Healthcare and FIG) and Head of STEF Nort America, as well as other senior positions in Europe. He has been a regular speaker at several conferences like ITFA Trade and Forfaiting Conference, EXCRED, ASSET and Working Capital Conference.
Leonardo holds a degree in Business Administration from Barcelona´s Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a degree in International Trade from the same university. Furthermore, He attained a Master´s degree in Finance from ESADE and a Certified Supply Chain Finance Manager title from EBS (European Business School) in Wiesbaden, Germany.
