Navid Shahidinejad is a Senior Underwriter with AXA XL’s Political Risk, Credit and Bond (PRCB) division, where he is responsible for the management of several large key client accounts with multilateral organization, development finance institutions, and global banks. Navid has experience underwriting a variety of asset classes, including project, trade and structured finance, public sector lending, and political risk insurance. Previously, Navid worked as a member of PRCB’s Risk Management function performing portfolio management and analysis tasks.

Before AXA XL, Navid worked at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC), in addition to various consulting firms.

Navid earned his master’s degree at the Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and international Relations from Tufts University. He is a native speaker of Spanish and English and is also fluent in Portuguese.
