Craig Weitz

Principal: Export Credit Finance at Nedbank Limited

Craig Weitz is a Principal in Nedbank CIB’s African Infrastructure Finance business. Craig has 14 years of investment banking experience spanning Johannesburg and London, and has worked extensively in the areas of sovereign lending, export credit finance, and credit & political risk insurance. With a passion for Africa, his recent work has contributed to financing infrastructure projects across West, East, and Southern Africa in the areas of roads, ports, airports, water and power infrastructure.

Prior to his current role, Craig worked in aviation finance and concluded numerous debt financing transaction for international airlines and lessors. Craig is a regular speaker at international conferences and has spoken widely on the topic of African debt and risk mitigation solutions. Craig holds a MSc degree from the University of Johannesburg.
