Doreen Fick is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in product management and development within Corporate and Investment Banking, with a particular focus on cross-border trade finance. Currently, she serves as a Senior Product Manager in the Distribution and Syndication team in Trade and Working Capital within Transactional Banking at Absa Group Limited, based in Johannesburg.

Doreen’s expertise spans trade finance, distribution, syndication, and insurance, with a proven record in scaling cross-border trade finance solutions across multiple Pan-African markets. Known for her strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, Doreen has consistently driven growth by aligning Absa's internal capabilities with external client needs and regulatory landscapes in international trade.

In previous roles, including as Product Head for Funded Wholesale Trade Finance and Senior Product lead for Unfunded Wholesale Trade Finance, she spearheaded projects that expanded product offerings across the continent, introduced innovative solutions tailored to regional needs, and enhanced product lifecycle management.

Her educational background includes a B.Comm in Accounting Sciences from the University of Pretoria, an Hons B.Comm in Management Accounting from the University of Stellenbosch, and an Associate Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification from CIMA in the UK. Doreen has also obtained specialized certifications in international trade, finance, product management, and data science.
