Mike Brandon has worked for several local and international banks over the past 26 years, in various senior credit, business development, product and sales capacities. As an ICC certified Trade Finance Professional (“CTFP”), Mike has structured trade and working capital deals both in South Africa and across the region including Namibia, Swaziland, Lesotho, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania, and Mauritius.

Before joining Merchant West in 2022 in his current capacity, Mike was the Head of Customised Trade Solutions at Nedbank CIB where he led the commercial adoption of platform-led Supply Chain Finance solutions for several major corporates in the South African market. Mike holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from the University of South Africa as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PDip BM) from Mancosa.
