Alaina Ownbey has 15 years of finance and accounting experience. Alaina is currently the Vice President, Finance & Accounting at Elicio Therapeutics. She is responsible for financial planning, financial reporting, accounting operations, treasury, and tax. She brings a wealth of finance and accounting experience across various industries for public and private companies.

Before joining Elicio in 2023, Alaina worked at Skyhawk Therapeutics where she held roles of increasing responsibility within the finance organization focusing on technical accounting and reporting, financial planning and analysis, and operational accounting. She has also held various consulting and finance roles with Deloitte LLP, PTC, CFGI, and EY LLP.

Alaina holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in accounting from Babson College. Alaina is a licensed CPA in Massachusetts.

In her free time, Alaina enjoys spending time with her family, running, and golfing.
