Danielle Matthews is a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Washington, D.C. Her responsibilities include working closely with professional accounting standard setting bodies, consulting with registrants on the application of accounting standards and financial disclosure requirements, and participating in the development of the Commission’s interpretations and rule proposals.
Prior to joining the Office of the Chief Accountant, Danielle worked in KPMG LLP’s audit practice and Department of Professional Practice (DPP) in New York City. Danielle received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern California and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New York and California.
