Dave Messina joined Sage in 2022, bringing more than a decade of accounting and finance experience along with seven years of ERP pre-sales solution consulting. As a Senior Solution Consultant, he works with finance teams at high-growth, venture-backed companies to put AI and automation to work in day-to-day operations, from month-end close and account reconciliation to accounts payable, expense management, and revenue recognition across multiple entities and currencies.

Dave spends most of his week in front of controllers and CFOs, walking through what AI actually does in a live system and, just as importantly, where a human still needs to stay in the loop. He brings a practical, customer-first perspective grounded in real-world finance work rather than theory, with a focus on results teams can measure.

When he's not working, you'll find Dave golfing, cooking, traveling, or spending time with his wife and two young sons.
