Katie Capps currently serves as the Executive Director of Accounting & Controller at Enanta Pharmaceuticals. Katie is an accounting professional with over 19 years of experience in the life sciences industry, serving in various financial roles over her career.

Katie began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the Health Industries Assurance practice, where she audited biotechnology, pharmaceutical, higher education, and technology clients in both the public and private sectors. It was at this juncture that her passion for supporting life science companies that provide life-changing therapies to patients began.

Katie took her experience from public accounting to the private sector in 2011, serving in corporate finance functions at two global publicly traded companies - Novanta, Inc., and Vertex Pharmaceuticals thereafter. She joined Enanta Pharmaceuticals in 2016 to lead the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance process and later transitioned that experience to lead the accounting function as Controller.

She has deep experience in leading cross-functional teams through times of transition, including business development initiatives, systems implementations, and financings.

Katie is a CPA and resides in Massachusetts. She graduated from Bentley University with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and holds an MSA in Accounting.
