Mark MullikinFractional/Interim CFO for Life Sciences at Value Creation Partners, LLCSpeaker
Profile
Mark Mullikin serves as fractional and interim CFO to emerging life sciences companies through Value Creation Partners, stepping in when a company needs a proven finance leader for a defined stage rather than a permanent hire. Over a 30-year career he has helped raise over $1 billion across private and public markets and has led finance through every phase of the biotech lifecycle, from seed-stage planning to public-company reporting and investor relations. Recent engagements include Ensem Therapeutics and Vizgen. Previously he was CFO of Vedanta Biosciences and Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations at Editas Medicine, where he was involved in raising more than $700 million in equity. Earlier roles spanned financial and strategic planning at Novartis, healthcare equity research at Adage Capital Management and Piper Sandler, and finance and strategy consulting at Deloitte, giving him an unusually broad view of how investors, operators, and analysts each evaluate a biotech. Mark holds an MBA in finance from MIT Sloan and a BA in Economics, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Chicago.
