Michelene Taptich is Senior Director and Assistant Controller at Madrigal Pharmaceuticals, where she oversees key functions within the accounting organization, including gross-to-net accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, and financial systems.

She brings extensive experience supporting commercial-stage biopharmaceutical companies through product launches, system implementations, and periods of rapid growth. Prior to joining Madrigal, Michelene served as Financial Operations Controller at Reata Pharmaceuticals (later acquired by Biogen), where she led the accounting organization’s commercial readiness efforts in advance of the company’s first product launch.

Earlier in her career, Michelene spent eight years at Endo Pharmaceuticals, holding roles of increasing responsibility across finance and accounting. She began her career in the Assurance practice at Ernst & Young in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Michelene is a CPA in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from Saint Joseph’s University.
