Milton Pires, CPA, is the Controller at Korsana Biosciences, where he is helping build and scale the finance organization as the company transitions from a privately held biotech to a public company. He began his career in PwC’s assurance practice before moving into the biotechnology industry, where he has spent his career supporting high-growth life sciences companies through key stages of development. At Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, he assisted in building the accounting and financial reporting functions as the company evolved from a clinical-stage organization to a commercial biotechnology leader. He later established and led the financial reporting function at Generation Bio, developing the processes and infrastructure necessary to support a public company environment. His experience spans technical accounting, SEC reporting, SOX compliance, public company readiness, finance systems, and building scalable finance organizations that support innovation, growth, and strong financial governance.
