Noel serves as Chief Technology Officer of RBC Clearing & Custody, where he has built a 25-year career spanning leadership roles across technology, finance and operations — most recently as Chief Operating Officer before assuming his current position in 2021. As CTO, he oversees technology product management, technology strategy, data management, engineering, fintech partnerships, service & support, technology training and consulting for the firm.
With deep expertise across wealth management, fintech, custody, and clearing, Noel has been an active architect of industry evolution — building new platforms and forging partnerships with financial technology firms of all sizes. His career has been defined by bridging strategic vision with the realities of tactical implementation, giving him a uniquely grounded perspective on what fintech innovation looks like in practice.
Noel holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Macalester College and two graduate degrees from the University of St. Thomas: an MBA from the Opus School of Business and a Master's in Software Engineering. He has completed the Securities Industry Institute program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and holds Series 7, 24, and 99 securities licenses.
