Santiago Jeyaseelan is a product leader working as Vice President of Product Management and Design at Gainbridge. Currently, he is spearheading the distribution business innovation at Gainbridge, an insurtech company, on both the direct-to-consumer and business-to-business sides of the business. Part of that is building a modern, API-first platform that enables companies in the consumer finance space to embed innovative financial products and solutions.

Prior to Gainbridge, he was Director of Product Management at Marqeta, Inc. where he built the credit cards product line for the company from scratch and led the product group. It was a zero-to-one product build that he eventually scaled which helped Marqeta become a leader in the credit card issuing market. The credit cards platform he built there was instrumental in the $275 million acquisition of Power by Marqeta in early 2023.

Santiago’s area of expertise is in building digital-first, API-first product platforms that revolutionize the industry, like payments fintech, and insurtech. He is an active member of the Forbes Technology Council where he voices his expert views and publishes content on product and technology innovation. He has coached and mentored product managers at all levels on career growth, building engaging products, and incorporating best practices in product development.
