Dr. Soner Canko graduated from Istanbul University, received his master’s and PhD degrees from the Faculty of Economics of the same university.

In the early years of his career, he held managerial positions in leading international companies such as Procter & Gamble, Citibank, Hewlett-Packard and First Data. He became the general manager of the Interbank Card Center (BKM) in 2011.

While managing Interbank Card Center (BKM);

- focused on delivering new technologies and services to the Turkish market of payment with card.

- lead the country transformation into cashless society. #BayBayNakit #ByByCash

- created Turkey’s Digital Wallet, BKM Express and Turkey’s Card Scheme, TROY

Dr. Canko left his position at BKM in April 2020, currently he provides consultancy services to finance and technology companies all around the world.
