Prior to Meta, Vidit spent the past several years working at PayPal, where he has held various roles including, Member of Technical Staff (Architect) and that of a Senior Product Manager on their Blockchain and Digital Currencies team. He led the technical front on strategic partnerships for PayPal that brought in millions of dollars in revenue and net new users. Vidit is listed as one of the top inventors at PayPal and has been presented with multiple annual Key Talent Awards for his high-impact contributions.

He has been granted 14 patents in areas like Augmented Reality, transaction optimization, smart payment tokens, hardware device communication systems, software security, voice UI and blockchain. He is also a core member of the team that organizes an annual hackathon at PayPal called Opportunity Hack that brings volunteers with technical skills together to solve problems for local non-profits. In his spare time he likes to tinker with AI and Web3 technologies.
