Andris Rimsa is a partner in the Brussels office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. His practice focuses on EU and global competition law and foreign investment screening.

Andris regularly advises clients on complex global foreign investment control and merger control issues. Andris also has extensive experience in abuse of dominance and restrictive practices matters before the European Commission and other competition authorities. His experience spans various sectors, notably semiconductors, enterprise software, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, automotive, manufacturing and industrial services. He has delivered courses on European merger control as part of the Brussels School of Competition’s LL.M. in Competition Law and at the College of Europe Competition Summer School, and has further authored multiple award-winning or nominated articles recognised by the Concurrences Antitrust Writing Awards. Andris has been recognized by The Legal 500 2025 as a recommended lawyer.
