David advises international companies on political and regulatory risk in the UK and the EU, including communications around merger control, investment screening, and public interest review processes.

His transaction experience includes Broadcom’s proposed acquisition of VMware; Schneider Electric’s acquisition of AVEVA plc; Parker-Hannifin’s acquisition of Meggitt plc; NVIDIA’s attempted acquisition of Arm; GKN’s response to an unsolicited bid by Melrose; the proposed merger of Sainsbury’s and Asda; the acquisition of Berendsen by Eilis; and News Corporation’s acquisition of Wireless Group.

He also advises companies on post-Brexit political and regulatory developments, corporate governance policy, and crisis communications. His past and current clients include Standard Chartered, Harbour Energy, Royal Mail Group, Prudential, the Barclays Bank UK Retirement Fund, Rothesay Life, SWIFT, and Conde Nast.

He joined Brunswick from The Spectator magazine, where he was a current affairs and politics journalist. He is a graduate of the University of Oxford.
