Martin leads the Invest Europe’s advocacy work representing the interests of the association’s private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, and long-term investor members in Brussels. He joined in 2020 from Rud Pedersen Public Affairs where he was Partner, Group Head of Financial Services and oversaw client advice on financial services and complex corporate issues.
Martin was lead negotiator on financial services files, with the title of Minister Counsellor, during the Danish presidency to the EU in 2012, responsible for process and agreements made on banking-, insurance and market regulations. Prior to this, Martin was Director in the ministry of Economics and Business Affairs amongst other things responsible for the worlds’ first governmental ESG strategy.
Martin holds a Master of Law degree from the University of Copenhagen, as well as post-graduate diplomas in Business Administration and in Dispute resolution. He was for a number of years been assistant professor at the University of Copenhagen focusing on EU law and European institutions’ decision-making processes.
