John Immaraju works for AMVAC Chemical Corporation as their Senior Director of Product Commercialization and International Product Development. His duties include directing the global product development and commercialization efforts in select geographical regions outside the USA and to provide guidance on intellectual property and product positioning for various AMVAC crop protection products. He has more than 31 years of experience in the agrochemical/biopesticide industry. At AMVAC, John is currently working on the global commercialization of a novel biopesticide--SmartBlock® potato sprout inhibitor, with patents and technology licensed from Washington State University. He also directed the development and launch of several azadirachtin-based insecticide/ nematicide products.

John has M.S. and Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of California, Riverside where he worked on insecticide resistance management and IPM and has published more than 15 research articles during his career. He is based in Newport Beach, California.
