Iñaki Ascacíbar Martínez has 30 years' experience in the aeronautical sector, both in Airlines (Iberia LAE) and airports (Spain, Mexico).

Between 2010 to 2016, he held the position of Technical and Operational Director of Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), where he led the Master Planning, Operations, Safety and Security, Engineer&Maintenance, Construction and Environmental for 12 airports, including handling supervision, Airport certification, SMS implementation and ACI-Airport Carbon Accreditation.

Before this, he was Aena’s CIO, dealing with the IT development, commissioning and ORAT of the expansion projects of Madrid, Barcelona and Malaga airports.

Since 2016, Iñaki has been a senior manager of Aena Desarrollo Internacional SME S.A., focussed on Asia-Pacific and Middle East opportunities, and alternate member of the Board of Directors of Cartagena de Indias and Cali airports in Colombia.
