Currently, he is Executive Vice President at Aena SME, S.A., Managing Director at Aena Internacional, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aeroportos do Nordeste do Brasil S.A. (ANB) and Chairman of Bloco de Onze Aeroportos do Brasil S.A. (BOAB). As Executive Vice President, he manages the Airports business unit, the Commercial and Real Estate business unit, the Innovation, Sustainability and Client Experience Directorate, the IT and Digitalisation Directorate and Aena’s international subsidiaries. He is also Executive Committee Member of ACI EUROPE (Airport Council International), Regional Advisor of ACI World and member of the Madrid Territorial Council of IESE, Alumni Association. He has held a number of management positions since joining Aena in 1991: Executive Board Member (2020 – Feb. 2023) Managing Director -Airports (2017- Feb.2013) Managing Director - Aena (2014-2017), Managing Director- Aena Aeropuertos S.A (2011-2014) and Director of Spanish Airports (2004-2011). He was also previously Managing Director - Air Navigation Services and Director of Corporate Development. He has been a member of the Boards of Directors of different aeronautical infrastructure companies: Centros Logísticos Aeroportuarios S.A. (CLASA), Ingeniería y Economía del Transporte S.A. (INECO), London Luton Airport Operations Limited (LLAOL), of the mexican companies, Aeropuertos Mexicanos del Pacífico SA de CV(AMP) and Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico S.A.P.I. de CV (GAP), of the colombian companies, Aeropuertos del Caribe, S.A. (ACSA), Sociedad Aeroportuaria de la Costa, S.A. (SACSA) and Aerocali, S.A. He has also been President of ACI EUROPEPrior to joining Aena, he worked for the Universidad Politécnica, the Spanish Civil Aviation Authorities, the Paris-based Eurocontrol Experimental Centre and Indra.
