Profile

Paul is the Chief Development Officer for Manchester Airports Group (MAG). Paul is responsible for all capital programmes, asset management, procurement, and MAG’s Property portfolio on behalf of the Group, with a planned investment of £2bn over the next five years. Paul joined MAG in 2015 and has held several senior positions, including the Group Engineering Services Director, Group Strategy Director, and Group Aviation Director.

Paul has over 30 years of experience in the management, planning, design, construction, operation, and development of airports. Prior to joining MAG, Paul was the Global Head of Aviation for Arcadis, and throughout his career he has held a number of key management posts to design, construct, and operate a number of international airports, including the design, construction and opening of Athens International Airport. Paul led the airport planning and operations for the Athens 2004 Olympics, served as a Technical Advisor to Abu Dhabi International Airport for the development of Terminal 3, Delhi Terminal 3 and new runway, and acted as Programme Director for the design and build of Lima Airport, Peru, and the opening of Terminal 3 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Paul has led over 40 airport transactions in his career, including the privatisation of ANA on behalf of the Portuguese State, the sale of the Hochtief airport group, the sale of the Greek regional airports, Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan, Zagreb Airport in Croatia, Indian Airports, Brazilian airports privatisation, and Larnaca and Pafos Airports in Cyprus.
