Waleed has extensive buy and sale side experience in various successful airport privatization transactions, including JFK Terminal 4, Brisbane, Madinah, Bangalore, Amman, Jeddah Hajj Terminal, Farnborough, Abuja and others. He served as the first foreign director and Chief Strategy Officer of TAV Airports Holding. In addition, he has worked at the International Finance Corporation and led the corporatization of Abu Dhabi Airports Company.

Waleed earned a bachelor degree in civil engineering (airport design), master degree in transport economics and a doctorate in transportation finance, all from University of California at Berkeley.

Waleed is fluent in English, Arabic, Spanish and French.
