Mads co-founded the PGP business in 2005, which was formerly known as Sparinvest Property Investors. Since 2017 it has been a wholly owned business unit within PATRIZIA SE. The PGP business works in partnership with operating partners around the globe and manages real estate debt and equity strategies as well as impact strategies within affordable and social living.

Prior to his current role, Mads worked for six years at ATP Real Estate from 1999 to 2005, focusing on international real estate. ATP Real Estate is the real estate subsidiary of the largest Danish pension fund, ATP.

In 2002, Mads was one of the founding forces behind the establishment of the European non-listed real estate organization INREV (European Association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles) and is regularly lecturing at different INREV courses.

Mads holds a M.Sc. in Economics & Business Law from the Copenhagen Business School and has participated in the MBA program at Richard Ivey Business School (Ontario, Canada) as an integrated part of his studies at Copenhagen Business School.
