Since joining Five Guys in 2005, Sam has played a pivotal role in the company's extraordinary growth—from fewer than 30 U.S. locations to a global footprint nearing 2,000 restaurants. Under his leadership, Five Guys has solidified its position as the dominant market share leader in the fast casual burger category, with revenues projected to approach $4 billion globally in 2026.

As President, Sam oversees all aspects of day-to-day global operations. He is instrumental in ensuring the founders’ vision and uncompromising standards are upheld across both company-owned and franchise locations. He has also led the brand’s rapid international expansion, establishing Five Guys as a premier global player in the industry.

Prior to joining Five Guys, Sam served as Vice President at a franchise development firm based in Alexandria, Virginia, and was a founding partner of Chamberlain Williams Tison & Associates, an executive search firm. He began his career in 1992 with Lanier Worldwide.

Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Ohio University. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife and their three children.
