Burak Cetin is the Head of Residential Finance for Barings’ Asset-Based Finance team. Burak has worked in the industry since 2009. Prior to joining the firm in 2018, he spent 7 years on the Mortgage-Backed Securitization and Finance team at Wells Fargo Securities where he held various positions including lending portfolio management, statistical modeling & analytics of residential mortgages, and structuring primary issuance of RMBS. Prior to Wells Fargo, he worked in the Financial Intelligence Unit at Bank of America, developing machine learning algorithms and rule-based models to capture unusual activity for money laundering detection systems. Burak holds a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bogazici University and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NC A&T State University.
