Amy Rosenthal is Vice President of Affordable Housing at National Church Residences, where she provides executive leadership for affordable housing and senior living development initiatives. As a senior member of the Development & Acquisition Department, she oversees a multidisciplinary team responsible for guiding projects from site identification and concept planning through financing, construction, and stabilization.
In this role, Ms. Rosenthal directs development strategy, mentors project managers, and ensures consistent execution across a diverse portfolio. Her team is responsible for identifying viable development opportunities, cultivating municipal and community partnerships, leading public engagement efforts, and securing complex public and private financing, including Low Income Housing Tax Credits. Over the course of her career, Ms. Rosenthal has helped deploy more than $400 million in equity to preserve or create over 4,000 affordable housing units nationwide.
Prior to joining National Church Residences, Ms. Rosenthal served as Associate Director of the Ohio CDC Association, where she led statewide training and technical assistance programs focused on affordable housing development, community economic development, and microenterprise. In that capacity, she worked closely with nonprofit developers to strengthen organizational capacity, improve development outcomes, and advance best practices across the field.
Ms. Rosenthal has more than 20 years of real estate and community development experience, including nearly 15 years specializing in LIHTC-financed development. She has also spent her career in nonprofit governance and volunteer leadership roles and currently serves on the boards of Healthy Neighborhoods Healthy Families, an initiative of Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and the Affordable Housing Alliance of Central Ohio.
She holds dual master’s degrees in City and Regional Planning and Public Policy and Management from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Urban Planning from the University of Cincinnati. Ms. Rosenthal lives in Central Ohio with her husband and two children.
