Jennifer Mandelbaum is Partner at Halogen Ventures, a consumer tech and strategic B2B early stage venture capital firm investing in companies with a female in the founding team. Jennifer comes from both an operational background at a big luxury CPG company and over a decade’s worth of investing experience which really has benefitted a number of our portfolio companies - helping startups draw out their M&A strategy, identify and connect with target acquirers as well as support with competitive landscape and consumer intelligence. As for portfolio management, Jennifer spearheads Halogen’s follow on strategy and other investment/return strategies. She also monitors our existing companies and conducts deep diligence on potential investments. She is a board observer of Live Tinted, the first Southeast Asian brand to launch at Ulta Beauty and WTHN, a modern Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) studio with locations across NYC and products sold in over 100 retailers.

Prior to joining Halogen, Jennifer was an advisor at Fab Co-Creation Studio Ventures founded by Odile Roujol, former CEO of Lancome, and worked in Marketing Intelligence at Shiseido’s innovative Makeup Center of Excellence, where she led competitive, retail & consumer analysis and insights for the Makeup, helped brands launched products successfully and performed market mapping for white space opportunities that led to major strategic moves and acquisitions for the corporation. Prior to that, Jennifer spent a decade investing in private and public funds at two prominent family offices in Boston - Windrose Advisors and Spinnaker Capital LLC. She has also worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Merrill Lynch and John Hancock.

Jennifer was the first female president of the New England Venture Network’s (NEVN) 25 year history and founded Women in NEVN (WIN), a subgroup focused on empowering women VCs and entrepreneurs. Jennifer received a merit scholarship and MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University.
