Garrett Thelander is a Managing Director and Head of Workouts for Ready Capital. He has over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate with a focus primarily on the debt capital markets space.

Prior to joining Ready Capital, Mr. Thelander served as Senior Vice President and Group Manager in M&T Bank’s Special Asset (Workout) Group. Prior to that, Mr. Thelander was a Managing Director for CIT Bank and Centennial Bank, an Executive Managing Director for Cushman and Wakefield, and an Executive Vice President for Anglo Irish Bank NY.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts from State University of New York, Plattsburgh, and a Master of Public Administration in Leadership/Real Estate Finance from Harvard Kennedy School, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
