John Raymond is a Vice President for Real Estate Transactions at the New York City Economic Development Corporation. John is part of a team that executes and advises on real estate development and public-private partnerships throughout New York City.
During his time at NYCEDC, John has worked to transform Willets Point into the City’s newest mixed-use neighborhood that features 2,500 units of 100% affordable housing – the City’s largest such housing development in decades – and a new soccer stadium for New York City Football Club. John’s work has also focused on concluding development at Essex Crossing on the Lower East Side, conversion of 5 Times Square from office to residential, and advising the City on New York State’s casino siting process.
Prior to his time at NYCEDC, John worked on development of 5 World Trade Center at the Port Authority. He began his real estate career working for a real estate developer in Philadelphia.
John earned his Bachelor’s degree with honors from Lafayette College and Masters of Business Administration with a real estate and finance focus from the University of North Carolina.
