Stacy GriggsFounder & Chairman at AboutBitSpeaker
Profile
Stacy Griggs is the Founder and Chairman of AboutBit, a next-generation infrastructure company focused on large-scale data center development and power optimization for high-performance computing. Under his leadership, AboutBit is evolving from a cryptocurrency mining platform into an AI and hyperscale colocation solutions provider, leveraging early investments in power infrastructure to meet surging demand for artificial intelligence workloads.
Griggs has been at the forefront of identifying and capitalizing on inefficiencies in energy markets, positioning AboutBit to secure and deploy large-scale capacity in strategic locations with access to low-cost, scalable power. The company’s pivot from crypto mining to AI colocation reflects a broader thesis he has long championed: that control of power—not just compute—will define the next generation of digital infrastructure.
He holds over 30 patents across data, targeting, and digital infrastructure technologies, reflecting a career built on innovation at the intersection of data and applied systems.
Prior to AboutBit, Griggs co-founded El Toro, a pioneering adtech company known for its patented household-level targeting technology and deterministic approach to data. He also held executive roles with early cloud pioneers, where he helped build and manage colocation data centers, including MaximumASP—creator of one of the first public cloud platforms built on Microsoft technologies, which later exited to a publicly traded telecommunications company—and HostMySite/Hosting.com, which was subsequently acquired by a private equity firm.
Griggs studied business administration at the University of Louisville and is a graduate of the Scaling Entrepreneurial Ventures Program at Harvard Business School.
