Jeremy Potter is an independent consultant and advisor for housing finance and innovation through his company, Next Belt Strategies. Jeremy is a fractional executive, Board member and advisor to companies across mortgage, real estate, title insurance and housing policy. He is currently serving as a consultant to the housing non-profit Samaritas and the CDFI ProsperityNow (based in DC). On the industry side, Potter is working for Bundle - a real estate legal documents platform - and TrueFootage - a property valuation and appraisal company. Potter also serves on the Board of Directors for CATIC Financial, a title insurance underwriter in Rocky Hill, CT. His other Board participation includes three non-profit organizations - Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Association (MMBA), FirstHome IQ (a financial education platform for high school and college students), ReAlinement Retreat (a housing policy event in Brooklyn, NY). Prior to consulting and tech startups in housing & mortgage, Potter worked at Rocket Mortgage on the Legal team and within the capital markets team across digital innovation, strategy and housing policy. He is the host of the podcast, Housing Insiders (available on Apple and Spotify), and a frequent speaker and contributor on housing finance issues. A graduate of UConn Law School, Potter lives and works in Detroit, Michigan.
