Professional Biography – Mary Shaw, CPA, CGMA

Born and raised in Colorado, Mary earned both her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and MBA from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She began her career by joining Kinder Morgan in 2006. Working for a large public company provided her with diverse opportunities across departments and projects, shaping her early professional development. During her time at Kinder Morgan, she earned her CPA license in the state of Colorado and her CGMA designation.

After more than a decade in the oil and gas sector, Mary transitioned to the nonprofit world as the Chief Financial Officer of a smaller organization. In this role, she significantly expanded her leadership scope—overseeing not only finance, but also human resources, information technology, and logistics. This experience broadened her operational expertise and deepened her strategic leadership capabilities.

In May 2021, Mary joined View Homes, where she found a true passion for the homebuilding industry. She now leads and mentors teams across multiple states, driving operational excellence while remaining grounded in the mission of helping families achieve homeownership across the country.

Outside of work, Mary enjoys spending time with her family in the beautiful Colorado sunshine. Since 2016, she has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in El Paso County, reflecting her deep commitment to supporting the welfare of children in her community.
