Dai Wai is the U.S. Chapter Chair of the International Legal Finance Association (ILFA). He previously headed the commercial litigation funding vertical of Parabellum Capital, the largest privately held funder in the United States. He is ranked Band 1 by Chambers for litigation funding and one of The Legal 500's eight global "Industry Leaders."

At ILFA, Dai Wai serves as a leading industry voice on U.S. public policy, including engagement with federal rulemaking and state legislative matters affecting commercial legal finance. He has testified before multiple legislative bodies on industry matters and frequently speaks and writes on developing issues in the field. He has also contributed to studies of litigation finance by the New York City Bar Association, the Government Accountability Office, and the Uniform Law Commission.

Prior to entering the legal finance industry, Dai Wai was a litigation partner at Dorsey & Whitney, where he specialized in commercial and antitrust litigation. Dai Wai received his A.B., cum laude, from Georgetown University and his J.D. from New York University School of Law. He is the President of Two Tunnels Pet Recovery, a non-profit dedicated to reuniting lost pets with their families. He is also an alumnus and faculty member of the New York City Bar Association Associate Leadership Institute and a member of the New York City Bar Association Litigation Committee.
